A Metrosexual Abe Lincoln?

What is a "metrosexual Abe Lincoln?" Well, it seems to be a negative frame of the president of the United States. 

The New York Times story about a Super pac's planned character attack of the president brings to light a number of tactics and strategies used to distort the truth. For those of us not running for president, but disagree with such tactics and want to protect themselves from them there may not be a foolproof defense; but, there are lessons we can take away from it.

The Lesson to be Learned

People fight dirty. Something may not be illegal, but are still wrong. 

In a conflict, nothing is off limits for people with no ethics or morals.

Life Skills to be Mastered

Question the motivates of others, as well as, your own.

Learn and be able to identify dirty tricks and distortions. 

Study the term DEHUMANIZATION - If you don't you run the risk of being one of its victims.

Critical Thinking

Why would someone do this? What is their intention? Motivation?

Is it true? Is it false? Does that even matter?

What are the consequences of this if it had worked? What are the consequences now?

Why did they have to find a black person to deliver the message?

Do these people understand the black church? Sermons?

Why do these type of negative attacks work?

Mindful Behavior

Pay attention and be aware of what is important and what isn't when discussing any issue.
